About The Seven Day Anthology Series – Classic Short Fiction, Guided Reading

Seven Days. Seven Stories. One author or theme you’ll know by the end. That’s the whole idea.

The Problem We’re Solving

Most people who want to read the classics never get there.
Not because they’re not interested. Because the books are long, the language is unfamiliar, and there’s no obvious place to start. You pick up Moby-Dick with good intentions and put it down by page three.
The 7 Day Anthologies series was built for exactly this.

What the Series Is

Each volume focuses on a single author — one you’ve probably heard of, but may never have read.
We select seven short stories from their body of work. Stories that are short enough to read in one sitting, and varied enough to show you who this writer really was.
One story a day. Seven days. Done.
By the end of the week, you won’t just have read something good. You’ll have a real sense of an author — their voice, their obsessions, the era they were writing in, and why their work still matters.

What’s Inside Each Volume

Every anthology includes:
Seven carefully selected short stories — chosen to balance accessibility with range
An introduction to the author — who they were, where they sat in literary history, what to read next if you want more
Discussion questions — built into the book, so you can reflect on each story as you go, or use them in a group setting
A reading note for each story — brief context before you start, so you’re never reading blind
No literary degree required. No prior knowledge assumed.

The Monthly Format

A new volume publishes every month, each one a different author.
Herman Melville. Edgar Allan Poe. Edith Wharton. The list grows.
You can read them in any order — each volume stands alone. Or follow along month by month and build a real foundation in short fiction without ever feeling like you’re doing homework.

– You’re part of a book club looking for something with built-in discussion material
